The confrontation at the Tea Party Convention was bad enough; the first time someone tried physically manhandling me I would earn my detention by breaking their nose with a head-butt. Much of the "tolerance" for allowing a Member to defend themselves from the public is rooted in over two hundred years of smash-mouth politics, going all the way back to riots in the streets and assassination attempts.
